A fully functional CAD core is one of the essential features for optical system simulation and design software. Rayzen supports the following CAD features:
Supports 1D curves, 2D planes, and commonly parameterizable 3D geometries; supports defining lens surfaces using conic or freeform surfaces; supports extrusion, rotation, and path sweep modeling methods to create 3D shapes from 2D profiles; allows creating 2D/3D microstructures of various sizes on surfaces, within different area shapes, and arranged in various patterns.

Supports a global coordinate system as well as the ability to establish local coordinate systems at any location. Supports Boolean operations on solid models, as well as moving, copying, rotating, arraying, and grouping models. Allows defining optical elements with bonding and immersion relationships and provides simple dimension measurement.

Supportsss hiding and displaying geometries. Surface colors of geometries can be displayed according to different materials or optical properties, and rendering transparency of components can also be adjusted based on these properties. The icons on the engineering tree can intuitively reflect the rendering state of the scene geometry. Taking group object as an example:

Supports importing geometric models from other CAD software (step, sat, stl, iges), allowing users to directly use existing designs in simulation software. Also allows exporting optical simulation results in standard CAD formats for integration with other CAD software or manufacturing tools.
